The Reading Rush is a readathon which I have been participating in for years although it used to be called booktubeathon. It's happening 22 - 28 July and I couldn't be more excited to participate, so here if my TBR for this year.

Read a book with purple on the cover + Read a book in the same spot the entire time

I've just ordered Kami Garcia's new graphic novel 'Teen Titans: Raven' which I am so excited about. I was such a massive fan of Teen Titans as a child plus Kami Garcia wrote the beautiful creatures series which I loved and Gabriel Picolo is one of my favourite artists and his teen titan drawing have always been my favourite. Given it's a graphic novel I reckon I should be able to read it in one sitting on my bed.

Read an author's first book + Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation

'The Hate U Give' was such a hyped book that I never got around to but given it has such an important topic I figured I should read it and I recently found it for £3 therefore I couldn't say no and it perfectly fits these challenges.

Read a book with a non-human main character

I was really stumped as to which book to pick for this as I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a non-human main character but one of the books I have to read for school ‘Mockingbird’ has a robot as the main character so that was lucky. Also I'm reading this as an audiobook so this should make it pretty easy to read.

Pick a book that has five or more words in the title + Read a book you meant to read last year

I hope to read 'The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue' for both of these challenges. It's quite a big book but since I'm doubling up on most of my challenges I feel it should be achievable.
